    4. Not preserved, as by canning, smoking, or freezing: fresh vegetables.
    Frozen frenchfries are not a fresh vegetable in common usage.
    But this is a legal ruling, who knows how the statute was written? It was written in 1930, before the frozen french fry was invented, so presumably there's a loophole there.
